In the heart of Font-Romeu-Odeillo-Via, in the Pyrénées Catalanes, this trail offers one of the most beautiful settings to train like athletes. Varied courses: 7, 15, 26 and 45 km, between 1700 and 2700 m in altitude, with rolling sections, technical zones and steep slopes through the lakes and Alpine landscapes. A challenging and panoramic experience to prepare for the summer.

In the heart of Font-Romeu station, in the Pyrénées-Orientales, Occitanie, you’ll get to let your inner athlete speak on the Font-Romeu Nature Trail. You’ll mainly explore one of the most beautiful trail environments, the one chosen by so many athletes to recharge and train in the image of the Equipe de France de biathlon or even Mo Farah. It’s at the foot of the slopes of the resort, in the regional natural park des Pyrénées Catalanes, that you can take on several routes: the Trail des Amics of 7 km, the Trail of Calme (perfect if you’re angry 😠 ) of 15 km, the Trail des Bouillouses of 26 km or even the Carlit Marathon of 45 km. And on top of that they’re all staged between 1700 and 2700 m above sea level, vertigo-inducing 😲 . If you want to go to Font, we won’t stop you, but in mid-June, when the sun is at full blaze, the heat will quickly curb your ardor.
Going full throttle is one strategy, enjoying the scenery is another. Along the winter sports ski lifts you’ll surge into a dry nature and you’ll also have a typical view of the surrounding mountains ⛰️ . As you wander the sublime trails of the Font-Romeu trail, you’ll face the high Cerdañ plateau where you might glimpse the famous Yellow Train known as “the Canari.” The unique thing about this race is undoubtedly the promise that the route will let you appreciate the most beautiful mountain water spots in the area. You’ll count over 30, including the Bleus Blanc Rouge, the not Grave, the Balcère or the Camporells ! With so many lakes, it’s hard to imagine you won’t end up in the water 😉 . Beyond these stunning views, you’ll alternate between rolling stretches, technical sections and steep slopes. A true challenge or a great intro to sculpt your dream body before summer, your call!
You Font in the sun? A swim at the Lac des Bouillouses will do you the greatest bath. If you need to recharge, take a break by visiting Llivia and you can even savor a good escalada 🧗 . We guarantee this flavorful olive-oil vegetable medley will delight you.
