On this July 14, how about chasing after the king's flower? 👑 No Revolution ⚔️ and no Storming of the Bastille. Here you’ll land straight into the Trail of the Flower of the King 🌹, in Corrençon-en-Vercors, in the region Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, to celebrate the trail on the National Holiday ! 🎉 This event, created by the Amicale des Sapeurs-Pompiers de Corrençon-en-Vercors 🚒, is a real challenge for runners 🏃‍♂️ seeking thrills and breathtaking scenery 🤯. The course will wind through stunning forests 🌲, will climb alpine peaks mountainous 🏔️ and will have you running at altitude ⬆️. A true breath of fresh air in the heart of the nature ! 🌿

Two distances on the program 🗓️ : a Trail XXS and a Trail XS. Whether you’re into short trail for a sporty escape, or long trail, there’s something for everyone! Ready to bloom on the pavement? 🌼 Let’s go! 😜 In a spectacular settingyou’ll tread varied terrains of the Vercors: trails, meadows, paths… You won’t have time to get bored! 😎 Talking numbers: how many kilometers will you need to cover to deserve the Flower of the King? 🤔 14 km or 24 km, it’s up to you! But where there’s mountains there’s also elevation gain 📈. You’ll need to count 539 mD+ for the XXS and double for the XS, i.e., 1 073 mD+. Yes, to be a trail runner you must also know how to count! 🤓 Still, no need to tax your brain on the course 🧠, it’s your legs that need waking up ⏰. The routes of the two events are very hilly and will take you along the GR91, which crosses the entire Vercors! 🤩 You’ll have the chance to discover the region’s high points 📍: the Croix de La Sambue, the Belvédère des Granges or the hameau de la Fleur du Roy… You’ll be left speechless! 😵

And speaking of Vercors, here’s a quick glance at what you could do after your race! 😁 Less than an hour’s drive 🚗, you can head to Grenoble and visit La Bastille, for a panoramic view of the city 🌃. You can also opt for a family stroll 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 to the Jardin des Dauphins or explore the Musée de Grenoble 💡. If you’re more into nature, the Parc Naturel Régional du Vercors 🏞️ is a true gem with its stunning landscapes 😲. You can even try paragliding for an unforgettable aerial view of the park 🪂. For the less adventurous 😅, the winter sports resort of Villard-de-Lans 🎿 is just a stone’s throw from Corrençon-en-Vercors ! 😌 You can swing by to enjoy summer sports 🌞 : mountain biking, summer luge or a horseback ride 🐎.
