Between vast state-owned forest and Blois heritage, the Postier Trail offers a nature race in the heart of Centre-Val de Loire. Two distances, 32 km for the boldest and 13 km for a first approach, winding through forest trails and pathways. A sporty immersion in the history and the green surroundings of Blois, where every footstep tells its story.

Blois, a former royal residence 👑 with an immense cultural heritage, including its Saint-Louis Cathedral and its royal castle 🏰, Blois isn’t just a charming town. It’s also the home of the Trail du Postier, a nature race that since 2003 showcases the forest estate of 2,750 hectares. Le facteur passera in November for this Blésoise event in the Loir-et-Cher. 📬
Two distances to find in your mailbox: the Trail de la Groëtine at 13 km if this is your first round, the Trail du Postier for 32 km for the more experienced carriers who swallow miles on bike on foot. On your ride’s program, forest lanes and trails that are part of a network reserved for walkers, mountain bikers, and riders 🌳. Avoid playing the postman who enjoys lingering and chatting, it could come back to bite you... And slow your time down too 😬. You’ll be able to admire the remnants of the old Blémar forest, deep in the Gâtinais. You might catch a glimpse of the shadows of the monks of Marmoutier Abbey or King Louis XII 🤴. You’re in one of the most majestic oak groves in France. The Pinçonnière Lake as well as the Parc des Mées and the Arrou will be on your route, just like the Russy forest
After the race, you can discover the old town of Blois with its half-timbered houses, façades and roofs on Rue du Poids du Roi, as well as the Jacques Gabriel Bridge and the Fine Arts Museum
And for the plate, the local gastronomy offers you the Asperges de Sologne, the poulet 1550 au safran before finishing with some rondiaux, the Sologne’s sweet treat. 🐓
