Trail de la Pointe de Caux

Pull off your best finish line sprint 💥! Organized by "la Boussole Gonfrevillaise", the pointe de Caux trail offers you a high-spirited challenge in September in Gonfreville-l’Orcher, in Seine-Maritime. In the heart of the Côte d'Albâtre, you’ll embark on a discovery across one of the Seine estuary, on the edge of Le Havre and near the Pont de Normandie 🌊. This industrial city, one of the largest in Europe, holds secrets with its rich historical heritage. Lace up your shoes for a trail that blends sea, city, and forest!

The start is given from the Maurice Bacquet Sports Complex on the track at Gonfreville-l'Orcher. After leaving the town, get ready to run on single tracks and forest paths 🌲. Indeed, you’ll notice lots of greenery along the route and a gentle elevation (not too demanding, promise!) with a few successive climbs and descents. After a short slap of Trou Normand 🧋well-deserved, you’ll also run alongside a small stream before slipping into the Valleuse d’Antifer, a remarkable protected natural site with a diverse fauna and flora. 🍀 This sheltered valley will lead you to the grand finale of the event: a spectacular finish on the sea front Etretat cliffs facing its stunning cliffs sculpted by erosion 🏞. The sea and its green landscape atop the cliffs wait for you—your eyes will be treated to unforgettable memories at the end of the race. 😎

The rest of your journey is already planned: take a break to explore Orcher Castle and its park, lose yourself in the Étretat Gardens, or channel your inner king of runners in the Mayville cité. There, you can fuel up and recharge with delicious options like tripes à la mode de Caen or a serving of teurgoule, all paired with a good glass of Calvados. 🥂
