Trail de la Tour du Faucon

In the South with a big S, you’ll kick off 🏃‍♂️ a race that continues to leave its mark in the hearts of runners ❤️, edition after edition. By the way, this year marks the 15th anniversary of the Trail of the Tower of the Falcon 🪽. To celebrate, there are 3 trails ranging from 10 km, from 15 km and 25 km, plus a Nordic walk of 10 km that are organized. So meet us at Puget-Ville, in the region of Provence-Alpes-C Côte-d’Azur ☀️, in the Var, to celebrate the arrival of the spring 🌸.

With these 4 distances, the organizers aimed high 🙌, offering races and a walk for all levels. Indeed! They showed compassion for the foodies who indulged in raclette 🫕 during winter! ❄️ You thus have two accessible distances to help you get back into the rhythm 🎵: a 10 km and a 15 km. Note also that seasoned athletes 🤸‍♂️ will also find their account with the 25 km, while walkers 🚶 can loosen their legs 🦵 with the Nordic walk of 10 km. However, even if it isn’t a marathon or an ultra waiting for you, don’t think this race will be a walk in the park! 🙅‍♀️ The elevation is tough and you’ll likely regret the Christmas indulgences! 🎅 927 mD+ are to be expected (and prepared, that’s better 😅) for the 25 km participants, while the 15 km runners will face 508 mD+ 🙃. The two 10 km routes offer, each, no less than 368 mD+. Phew! 😮‍💨 That should wake more than a few up!

But the game 🎲 is worth it since it’s next to Brignoles, in the Var hills ⛰️, that the Puget-Ville and the “ Tower of the Falcon ”, which gave the race its name. Located between 87 m and 572 m in altitude 👆, the small commune offers a unique opportunity to discover the first signs of spring 🦋, in March, under the sun of Provence 🪻 and in full nature 🍃. Also, to celebrate this anniversary with us, and as a token of appreciation for the beauty and good organization of the race, the Var FFA Committee has selected the 25 km for the Var Department Championship 😯. At the same time, nothing surprising… You’ll run in a rocky area 🪨 and wooded 🌲 and will traverse the hills of 2 towns, namely Besse-sur-Issole and Rocbaron. Provençal scenery that will surely delight some and encourage them to re-register for the Trail of the Tower. And by the way, about that tower! ➡️ Historic Monument dating from the XIIth century, standing 13 m tall, it was a watch post and allowed monitoring of the entire plain 👀. I’d bet 🤚 that the view will be extraordinary !
