Set off on a nature-filled adventure in Cléguer, Morbihan, for the Trail de la Vallée du Scorff, a fall rendezvous featuring 5 distances, including two night races (Fast Noz 4.5 km and Noz Trail 12 km). A forest course dotted with chapels, manor houses, and old mills, tracing the Scorff along a lush, varied backdrop, with 1400 meters of elevation gain for the flagship 46 km race. Survival gear is mandatory and a warm, welcoming atmosphere is guaranteed.

The Trail of the Scorff Valley welcomes you at the end of October in Morbihan for a trail with a splendid setting. Don’t be mistaken, the Foulées de Cléguer is its nickname, so no risk of signing up for another race! The Scorff, what a strange name, we’ll explain it because we know you’re curious! It is a river more than 70 km long that flows into the Atlantic Ocean at Lorient 🏞️. Don’t worry, we won’t give you a geography lesson, but rather the story of this trail in Brittany! Let’s go, heading to the Valley of Scorff in a magnificent green landscape that will reveal part of its local heritage. You’re going to love it! 👀
This promises to be a great trail! You’ll be able to choose from 5 distances, including two night races: the Fast Noz of 4.5 km and the Noz Trail of 12 km. To sound like a true Breton, note that "noz" means night: that’ll come in handy 😉. By day, you can opt for the Trail Découverte Groupama of 7.5 km, the Cléguerois Trail Fiducial and its 18 km and finally the main event: the Trail of the Scorff Valley (TVS for the insiders), 46 km and 1400 meters of positive elevation, and that’s no small feat! For this race, dress with care: survival gear is mandatory, and especially your Scarff (scarf in English) because it might get a little chilly!
Once geared up, set off on your trail in Cléguer for a superb course through a forest that will leave you wide-eyed 👀. You’ll pass by chapels, classic manor houses and even old mills. The Scorff will be your ally, as you run alongside it throughout your course. You’ll have gathered that the varied landscapes will have you treading on trails, roads and meadows where you can almost touch the autumn colors 🍂. Caution, there are technical sections to plan for, so watch your footing 🦶 especially during the Noz 🌃. As for your nose, it’ll be delighted by the scents of the woods that will accompany you throughout your race. 👃
Your ears 👂 will quickly soak in the Breton ambiance alongside all the participants: no doubt it will be warm! And since you know that the Morbihan is huge, there’s plenty more to discover like the town of Pont-Aven so head off on an adventure and promise us you’ll savor a famous Breton galette to delight your taste buds 😋 !
