About this event

In the sub-prefecture of Senlis (Oise), the Senlis Trail takes place in December and is considered the region's most prized event, nestled between forested hills and autumnal landscapes. Offered in 15 km or 29 km, it is a trail on single-track and hilly paths, with climbs and sandy trails, start and finish in Senlis. After the exertion, a hearty refreshment and a QR code for time and ranking await you.

“ Senlis slides, in the land of bowls ” 🎶

We’ll meet you in Senlis, the subprefecture of the Oise, in Hauts-de-France for the Senlis Trail. A highly popular event in this region, the Senlis Trail welcomes you in December ☃️ for the city’s most popular race. Nestled on the Nonette away from the Chantilly forests 🌲 to the south, and the Ermenonville to the south, and the Halatte to the north, Senlis will evoke old stones and nobility. It’s a perfect terrain for a trail with its location on the edge of three forest massifs, the team XTREM CHALLENGES offers 2 distances: the 15 km or the 29 km. Promise, if you choose the 15 km, you won’t be considered cowardly 🥶, because in this event, temperatures are often cool. But we’re sure your trail spirit will manage to overcome it. After all, Senlis’ origins as a city are Gaulish. And we know our Finishers are unshakeable.

The start of both races is in the town of Senlis, located 40km from Paris. Don’t forget your magic potion bottle ⚡ because your route will mostly consist of single-track paths and hilly terrain. But there will also be sandy trails and some steep climbs “leg-pinchers.” So beware not to burn out at the start. You’ll soon reach the Ermenonville National Forest and the Pontarmé Forest 🌲. If it rained the day before, you’ll have to wade, go around, and jump over large puddles. In common parlance, that’s a bit of “good mud” 🐗, which only adds to the challenge of a trail already demanding (15km : 150D+ ; 29km : 350D+). Watch your step not to slip on dead leaves that will have fallen, well, it’s still autumn 🍂! The advantage of running in a forest— trees 🌳 will provide you with maximum oxygen 🌬. Take a moment to admire the beautiful autumn colors and use the moment to breathe the pure air that surrounds you. This surge of beauty will give you the courage you need to finish your race. After a wonderful loop, you’ll return to the starting point, passing by the high school where you might have studied. Off-the-course moments are just as interesting... Since after completing this trail in self-sufficiency, a hearty refuel awaits. You’ll receive a bag with: apple 🍏, chips 🥔, madeleine, sandwich 🥪 and your choice of drink 🥤. There will even be a hot soup 🥣 if you’re feeling chilly! If you’ve rushed to your mug (lukewarm) and forgot to look at your watch ⌚️ ??? Don’t panic, behind your bib you’ll find a QR code to see your time and your ranking. 😉

So, ready to get stuck? 🐗

The town of Senlis features a lovely medieval cité where royal dynasties took root, from the Merovingians to the Capetians. You can explore it on foot if you’re not tired or by running if you’re fired up 🔥! Just a short distance away, the splendid Château de Chantilly 🏰, bordered by its park of 115 hectares and its grand stables 🐎. Senlis is only an hour from Paris, so you can also enjoy a stroll in the world’s greatest capital. This time, we don’t actually recommend running there—the ring road is probably a bit too fast for you! Still, if you want a weekend full of thrills, head to join our Gauls in Plailly at Parc Astérix 🎢.
