Trail Trait Morbier

You obviously know the Morbier, this cow's milk cheese 🐄 typical of the Jura, with its famous charcoal streak. This cheese has seasoned a few iconic winter evenings ❄️ and delighted your senses 🤤. But do you know the Trail Trait Morbier, which takes place in Le Frasnois for the 4th year in a row, in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté? 🤔 Big fun coming! 😋 See you in the heart of the spring 🌸, in the month of May, in this charming town located north of the Parc Naturel du Haut-Jura, one hour from Geneva and the Lac Léman. You’ll get to enjoy the incredible, sometimes spectacular landscapes of the mountains 🏔️ of the Jura Massif. All of this with family 👨‍👩‍👦‍👦 or friends, given the number of races planned by the organizers who have thought of everyone 🥰.

On the program indeed, 8 starts on the Sunday only, including a short trail of 40 km titled "Trail du Morbier" (1 550 mD+), the "Trail des Cairns" of 26 km (900 mD+), the nature race of the "Trail des 4 Lacs" on 13 km (200 mD+), a relay of 3x5 km 🤝 and the "Trail de Narlay" of 5 km (110 mD+) if running isn’t really your thing 😅. If you prefer, you can also join a hike of 13 km 🥾 or even register your kids for one of the two distances of the "Morbi’Kids". Big events, we told you, without even mentioning running after tasting Morbier 🍽️. It’s best saved for the evening of the race, as a mode of reward! 🏅 By the way, every race participant will receive 250 grams of Morbier 🤩. Not bad, right? 👀 This trail is very nature and will take you through trail to trail, to discover all the local wonders: cascades du Hérisson 🦔, belvédères des 4 lacs, trail des Cairns 🪨... You’ll be spoiled for views, as the scenery is stunning 😍.

“Jura” comes from the Gaulish Juris, meaning forest of mountains, so you know what to expect... And to think you’ll also get to enjoy this beautiful territory around your race… 😎 The Jura, whose capital is Lons-le-Saunier, is renowned for its natural setting but also for its cultural riches. There are many charming little villages 🏘️ here: we mention Beaume-les-Messieurs, Château-Chalon or Nozeroy and its medieval vibe ⚔️. In Lons-le-Saunier, you can even enjoy the thermal waters 🛀 to ease your legs after the race 🦵. Not bad, right? 😉 Of course, this is a lakerich region lakes, you won’t be able to miss them. Just on the commune of Frasnois, there are 4 of them! 🤯 By the way, you can admire them from the aptly named belvedere des 4 lacs… 🤗
