Magis'Trail

A trail to get you warmed up before the holiday race is what Magis’trail has in store for you, Magis’trail, in Luynes. So head to Indre-et-Loire, in the Centre-Val de Loire region to challenge the chilly early-December temperatures on the roads of Touraine.

Three events are on the schedule for this Magis’trail: the Trail des Côteaux of 7 km if you like the trail in small doses, the Trail des Vallées of 13 km if you’re looking for more elevation and finally the Magis’trail of 19 km for those who want to make the most of these authentic landscapes. 🏞️

Want to know more? Let us walk you through this nature race that feels like a true adventure! The starts happen every 30 seconds in groups of 10 runners. A nod to the surrounding vineyards 🍇? After racing through the city streets, you’ll head toward the forest where you’ll behold a stunning panorama that you’ll only see with your Luynettes 😅. The courses explore a natural setting in winter colors, with rugged trails, fieldswooded pathsand some paved sections as well as a few climbs and descents to add elevation and a bit of challenge—the ideal recipe for a quality trail 👌! Your Luynes race will be your chance to discover a commune with a rich history traversed by the Loire. It’s notably its castle perched on a promontory which makes it famous as well as its pristine nature typical of the Touraine region. Get ready to discover this charismatic place under biting temperatures!

Then, once this magical race is over, you must absolutely visit the city’s splendors such as its castle 🏰, the Chanoinesses Chapel or admire the remains of the Roman aqueduct as well as the timber-framed houses. You’re also close to all the historic towns of Touraine. Blois, Orléans, Saumur, Chinon and of course Tours won’t be far from you for long!

And to pair with a good glass of Val de Loire wine (to be enjoyed in moderation, of course), local gastronomy will win your heart with the “andouillette au Vouvray”, the rillons de Touraine, the rillettes de Tours and the poire tapée (well, it looks more like a fig but it’s delicious). 😋
