In the Indre, in the heart of the Centre-Val de Loire, the Trail des Mousses invites you to run on wooded paths and a mossy carpet in Fontgombault. Choose from 5 km, 12 km or 23 km for a nature immersion suited to your level, between groves and playful paths. Nearby, discover the Abbey of Fontgombault, the Parc naturel régional de la Brenne and Angles-sur-l’Anglin for a beautiful post-race exploration.
If you love paths that smell of humus and corners where green has taken over, the Trail des Mousses in Fontgombault is exactly your playground 🍃.
Here, in the Indre in the Centre-Val de Loire, you come to indulge in nature, with forest stretches where it feels like you’re running on a mossy treadmill… 🌲.
You get to choose your adventure: the 5 km to get your legs moving and enjoy it without overthinking, the 12 km for a beautiful escape through woods and playful trails, or the 23 km to chase the true taste of escape, the kind that makes you say “one more turn and I’m there”… then start again 🥾.
A stone’s throw from the start, you can check out the magnificent Abbey of Fontgombault, then stroll to the Parc naturel régional de la Brenne (perfect for a peaceful walk), or push on to Le Blanc to stroll along the Creuse and find a nice terrace. And if you want to extend the postcard, Angles-sur-l’Anglin isn’t far: quaint lanes, viewpoints, and a guaranteed “wow” factor 🏰.
