Trail des Terrasses du Lodèvois

If you dream of running between sky and earth 🌌, the Trail of the Terrasses du Lodévois is the race for you! 🙌 To make this dream come true, you’ll need to head to Lodève in the Hérault in April! The next edition offers three breathtaking trail routes so you can hike in every sense of the word: 47 km for the warriors ⚔️, 27 km for the bold 🔥, and 15 km for the road-sweet tooth (or rather trail) lovers! 💪 So on the menu, we’ve got elevation with a pinch of magic... 🔮 Want to hear more? 😏

The main dish, the 47 km, is a festival of climbs, then technical descents and panoramas as we love them 🤤. On the program: the start will be from the village of Plans, a small village with remarkable natural heritage 💐, it’s the perfect race to test your endurance… 🦵 And your love for rocky trails. The 27 km, more approachable but just as stunning, is a concentrate of tomato landscapes 🏞️. It will also start from the village of Plans 🌲. A perfect distance if you’re an athlete who loves challenges without wrecking your knees 🎽. Finally, the 15 km, which we could also call a “little walk”, remains a trail in its own right 👋. Its climbs sting, its descents require vigilance, but its viewpoints make the pain fade 🤠. It’s also a wonderful entry into the world of trail running if you’re a beginner seeking big adventures! 🗺️ The start will be from the village of Celles on the edge of the lac du Salagou ✌️. If the physical effort is there, the humorous effort is too. Don’t be surprised if a volunteer cheers you on with: "Just 40 more kilometers, easy!" 😂. You’ll also have the chance to see the Lerab Ling Buddhist Temple 🧧 and to pass through the Labeil cave. Shaped by the multi-millenary work of water, this historic cave will blow your mind 🤩. Not to mention, for the runners of the 47 km and of the 27 km, in Lauroux, the famous music and grilled sausage refreshment 🎶, before returning to Lodève via the "wall of Grézac" and descending by the GR 🦔, and the Oppidum Path.

After the effort comes the reward! 🏅 Take the time to explore Lodève, a town rich in history and culture 📚. Don’t miss the Saint-Fulcran Cathedral with its impressive architecture ⛪. Craving nature after the run? The Salagou Lakes and its unique red earth are breathtaking 🤯. Whether with family or as a couple, explore the Grotte de Labeil for a magical underground moment 🔦. And why not a detour to the Cirque de Navacelles, an exceptional natural site that will leave you speechless! 👄
