In the heart of Isère in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, experience a unique trail around Lake Monteynard with the Passerelles du Monteynard. From Treffort, choose among 11 routes ranging from 12 to 63 km (solo, duo, or relay), including children and junior tracks, and discover suspended footbridges offering breathtaking views of the Alps. The event takes place in July and promises adrenaline, sublimed landscapes, and a friendly spirit.

We warned you, the Trail des Passerelles du Monteynard is intense... and not just because the race starts at Treffort 😉, a pretty little town nearby. Like any serious trail of this caliber, several distances are on the menu and you’ll be spoiled for choice! And to top it off, the organizers have gone all out! 🎁 The big lovers or best friends can even treat themselves and pick one of the three available distances in duo or in relay 👯♂️.
All routes revolve around the Lac du Monteynard 🏊♂️ and the trails in nature offer sublime spots on the Alps 🏔️ . It’s impressive and this is just the beginning! The Himalaya Walkways will let you glide over the lake and admire its stunning turquoise water, you won’t know if you’re in the Isère or in the Maldives 🏝. It’s a delicious cocktail of adrenaline and mind-blowing scenery: a view of the dam, passages through mines, a tour of tunnels in the underground museum of Mine Imageand a detour under the Pierre Percée Arch. Everything is planned so you feel a change of scenery at every moment 😍. Yes, the highlight of the race is its originality and the thrill. The organizers even reserve one singular challenge: The Little Train 🚃 lets you run along a railway line, that of one of the region’s most famous mining trains. Many runners will also have the chance to reach the summit of the Sénépy which offers a breathtaking view of the Vercors 👀.
After a race packed with emotions, don’t hesitate to take one or two days to soak in the surroundings 🤩, especially Trièves ! 📍 You’ll fall in love with its lush landscapes and the beauty of this nature! To truly treat your eyes, you can head to the summit of the Mont Aiguille 🗻, where you won’t miss a single moment of the show 🥰. It’s a peak considered as one of the Sept Merveilles du Dauphiné! 😎 Finally, to soak up even more of the local culture, and to recharge after your efforts, enjoy a delicious potato fondant gratin 🥔. With all that, you’ll probably never want to leave! 🧳
