Trail du Grifoulet

The starting signal is given for the Trail du Grifoulet in the heart of the beautiful Occitanie region in Reyniès, in the Tarn-et-Garonne department. Well, you’ve got it — you won’t be disappointed visiting this unusual place tucked into the mountains ⛰. You’ll have time to wander the village, but for now let’s get back to the main topic: the race. It takes place in July when hot temperatures ☀️ make the city stuffy, so come take a breath of fresh air and enjoy shaded corners in preserved nature. 🍃

On the agenda, there are three distances you can cover in a bucolic and picturesque natural setting 🌳. A race of 12 km and one of 20 km for different levels of running. If you prefer to take your time and enjoy the scenery at a slower pace, you can also join the 12 km hike. Whether it’s your first trail experience or you want to test your abilities and tackle the elevation gain. Nothing insurmountable, but brace yourself for a few climbs. 📈

As we told you, the run takes place in nature; you’ll be able to run through the Reyniès woods, natural ponds, and wild trails around the town. It’s a genuine trail that you love, waiting to let you experience the sport in 350 ha of preserved, often shaded nature. 🖼

It’s a more than festive atmosphere 🎉 awaiting you; your route will be punctuated by the cheers of locals who come to support you because the race coincides with the Village Festival. In addition, the volunteers are keen for you to have a unique moment and an amazing race. 😍 You’ll be able to enjoy numerous musical performances 🥁 with a professional commentator, to feel like the champion of the day 💪. Once your race is over you can finally spend some time visiting the charming rural commune of Reyniès in the Occitanie region; in fact a guided tour is organized in the village using a parcours digitized by QR codes. To refuel after the race, plan a picnic you will enjoy by the Tarn, at the foot of the magnificent esplanade 😍. Only 30 minutes from Toulouse you can discover the pink city. For gastronomy 🍽, treat yourself to the legendary Cassoulet or the anchovies, some unconventional dishes we’ll admit.
