Trail du Louron

Meet in Occitanie, and more specifically in the Louron Valley in Hautes-Pyrénées. The race winds through several villages in the valley in August. On the program, two distances : the 25 km and the 11 km. The ball is in your court—pick the race that suits you best! 👍

The start of your race is in the village of Loudenvielle. You’ll begin with a short stretch through the village to ease into it. What makes the legend of the race is La Neste du Louron, a great blue lake. According to the myth, La Neste du Louron is the tears of the heart that the mountain shed with joy. We hope you’ve got the vibe 😉 !!! You’ll be able to admire it from above, as you’ll overlook it. And even better, the highlight of the race is passing above the Lake, i.e. crossing it. Take the chance to lean in, but not too far; it would be a shame to fall, fishermen are active in the area 🐟! Then you’ll leave the village to tackle the mountains of Val-Louron. The trails will be rocky, switchbacks and dirt tracks, just what you need to strengthen your ankles and thighs 💪. Climbing and descending will be the watchwords of your race! Watch your surroundings! Animals want to trail run too 🐻! And by the way, you may encounter some along the way. After the mountain ascent and the meeting with your new friends, you’ll descend calmly toward the finish line! 🎉
