Trail du Trevezel

Dreaming of a fitness challenge and a perfect excuse to complain about your legs for three days? 😉 Then meet us at the Trail du Trévezel, in Trèves (yes, the village that looks like it came out of a painting) in the northwest of the Gard 🏃‍♂️. Each course will take you through the valley of the Trévezel and the Causse Noir. Here, we don’t come for a “fast time,” but to “live a moment”! ☝️ So on the program, three distances for all levels! The 23 km, the 16 km and the 7 km! There is also a family hike for accompanying participants. They don’t have to worry, fun activities are planned for them all afternoon! 🕺

It’s the first edition! 🥇 What a great idea to create a trail at the heart of the Cévennes, UNESCO World Heritage Site 📚. This race aims to connect you with trail enthusiasts like you! But above all, to give you an exquisite experience on a site where the mountains are breathtaking! 🏞️ The races will take you through the town of Trèves but also through that of Lanuéjols, and since we’re talking trail, it’s also an immersion in wild nature! 🌱 A little extra for the 23 km and 7 km participants: you’ll have the chance to descend vertically into the Saint Firmin Cave with a headlamp (this gear is mandatory) 🔦. Speaking of nature, the Trail du Trévézel takes pride in sustainability! ♻️ The markings are biodegradable ✨, there are waste bins for recycling on the course, and the aid stations will be filled with ecological foods and local products! 🥤 In this time of year in the Gard, temperatures stay fairly cool 🌡️. You won’t freeze your socks off, but as the saying goes, “in April, don’t shed a single thread”! 🧣 At the end of the races, it’s not over yet! Finally, your legs will be done, and it will be up to your stomach to take over! 🤔 A festive meal is organized for participants and accompanying people, yum! 🥘

If you want to stay and explore the area a bit, now’s the time! 📆 You can discover the village of Trèves, a medieval town 🗡️, rich with architecture from that era. The Church of Our Lady of the Purification, and the Old Bridge (originally built in Roman times, later swept away by floods) 🕯️, will be there to welcome you like a knight. There’s also the Rocher du Regard, a beautiful orientation rock that Caïla’s sign guides you toward the granite or dolomitic cliffs that also offer great walks (if you’re not too tired from the trail) 🔥.
