This charity trail takes place every November in the commune of Combronde, in the Puy-de-Dôme (Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes). Three distances are available to runners: 10.3 km (Combronita), 24.7 km (Combronido) and 8 km (Cumba-Runda), with elevation changes to expect. Varied routes between natural heritage and forest scenery, all to donate the funds to AFM Téléthon in honor of Émilie.

It takes place in the small town of Combronde, in the Puy-de-Dôme (Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes), where the Trail Émilie is held every year in November. Sure, it’s cool this time of year, but the scenery will quickly make you forget the early winter temperatures. Throughout the course you’ll not only enjoy the town and its natural and cultural heritage, but you’ll also pay tribute to Emilie, who passed away from cystic fibrosis after a long battle. You’ll race for a good cause while pushing yourself, two core athletic values. And since you like details, we inform you that the funds raised will be donated to AFM Téléthon. 👏
Three distances are offered in this charity race: the Combronita, a trail of 10.3 km, or the Combronido, trail of 24.7 km. It’s also possible to take on the Cumba-Runda, a hike of 8 km. In any case, prep your thighs because there will be a bit of elevation gain! 🧗♂️
Open to all, this race will take you through varied landscapes. First, you’ll discover Combronde by following its charming roads where the famous Fontaine du Tonneau and the Croix de Bonnefond, from the 15th century, will greet you. Then it’s on to more pastoral scenery: you’ll run on paths and trails in the heart of the green countryside. 🎶 A stroll in the woods 🎶, a little forest trek, it’s nice, right? No worries, the Trail Émilie will take you into the woods of Combronde to mix up the landscapes even more. This nature race will thus offer you different stunning viewpoints throughout your journey. 🤩
If you’re in town for a few days, don’t miss a quick visit to the Château de Chazeron or a trip to Clermont-Ferrand. We’ve also thought of your stomach—you’ll need to refuel after all those efforts! For this, we recommend the Auvergne potée or even la pompe aux grattons, local specialties. 😋
