In charming Mesnières-en-Bray, Normandy, the Trail Fort et Vert invites runners to tread its rolling trails from the start at the Mesnière-en-Braye castle. Choose from 11, 19, 27, 34 or 42 km, with an 11 km walking option for accompanying participants; the route passes gardens, the Hellet Forest, and rivers, to the majestic finish. Expect wintry conditions and puddles, water up to the knees at times, all in February. End by discovering Neufchâtel-en-Bray and its cheese.
Welcome to Mesnière-en-Braye, in Seine-Maritime in the region you call home, Thomas Pesquet, Normandy of course! If we can't welcome you to space, the town invites you to sprint your stride on the Trail Fort et Vert. The race takes place in February and honestly, we’d advise against running in shorts. Skipping the space suit anyway, take your precautions, it may be chilly! ❄️
On the schedule, 5 Trail Distances are offered: 11 km, 19 km, 27 km, 34 km and 42 km. If trail running isn’t your thing, or your companions prefer a stroll, the 11 km walks are perfect for you!
Your start will be royal on the outskirts of the château de Mesnière-en-Braye 🏰. You’ll begin by running through the gardens of the castle, then quickly join the trails in the Pays de Braye. And no need to bray if it rains—go back to childhood by jumping or dodging the puddles
To rest, like royalty, we suggest strolling the streets of Neufchâtel-en-Bray with its charming houses. Don’t forget to refresh your breath with their delicious cheese, the Neufchâtel of course! 🧀
