Trail Les Mathes - La Palmyre

The lush trails of the municipality of Mathes, in Charente-Maritime 🦀, will host the fourth edition of the Trail Les Mathes - La Palmyre 🔱. This sporting event is on track to become a must-do race for amateurs, as well as for the professionals. In previous years, it drew thousands of participants from all corners of the region, and beyond! 👏 All you need is to find a challenge at your level, and for that, we offer 3 distances version running: the smallest, 11 km through trails winding through the forest, a relatively rolling course with some so-called 'bone-crushing' parts, yet it remains very accessible! 🏃‍♂️ We stretch the distance a bit, offering the 25 km! In the heart of the forest of the Combots d'Ansoine 🌲, you’ll also pass by the Lighthouse, the beaches and stunning trails 🍃. For the bravest, a trail of 50 km is also on the map 🗺️, as the organizer says, you can’t arrive unprepared 🌸, this trail requires upfront training, but is well worth all the effort you’ll put in 😌. In the end, you might even feel transformed into a deer! 🦌 By the way, to reward these efforts, the 25 km and 50 km routes are indexed on the UTMB 🤯. And if racing isn’t your thing, you can also start the 10 km walk: much better for enjoying the landscapes in detail and strolling to the sound of the wind 💨.

In any case, each participant will immerse themselves through the pine forests, the fine sandy beaches 🏝️, and the dunes ! The wild beauty of the Atlantic coast, with breathtaking ocean views on the ocean 🌊. Since the race starts in January, we don’t offer a dip 😬. And it’s also a great chance to spend quality time either alone, or with your loved ones 🤝, whether they’re seeking a new challenge like you, or simply coming to cheer on their running idol! 😉

To crown this fabulous event 👑, amid a few good aches and a nice dose of pride 😎, you can explore the surroundings, which will live up to the comfort you’ll need! 🥰 As its name suggests, the trail also refers to the zoo of La Palmyre 🦒, where you can start your visit! Maybe your animal friends will congratulate you on your performance! 🤪 The zoo houses about 1 600 animals 🦓. Well, the timing isn’t ideal, but nothing stops you from strolling on the wide beaches with incredible ocean views! 👀 It’s a real breath of fresh air everyone would love to have at breakfast 🥣. In any case, stopping by the Phare de la Coubre, an entirely pleasant activity 🔦. Climb the 300 steps 👣 (if you’re still able…) of this iconic lighthouse for an unparalleled panoramic view of the Atlantic! 🤩 Where there’s effort, there’s reward! So, how about heading to the marché de la Tremblade, for a good tasting of local products, such as oysters 🐚, seafood 🦐, and other regional specialties? 🤔 It’s a great chance to immerse yourself in the local culture and savor authentic flavors 👊.
