Between Val Cenis and the grandiose landscapes of Savoie, experience the EDF Val Cenis Trail offering 6 varied distances (10 to 73 km) for all levels, from routes suited to young finishers to alto challenges. Lakes, mountains and exceptional panoramas await you, with elevations ranging from 500 to 4,300 mD+. Near the pistes and in the heart of Haute Maurienne, every stride promises views of the glaciers and Lake Mont Cenis.
It’s in the municipality of Val Cenis, in Savoie, that a race full of surprises is offered to you. Lacs and mountains, panoramas and exceptional landscapes will blow you away 😍. Near the ski slopes ⛷️, you’ll descend the most beautiful slopes and the biggest elevation gains, with your head in the clouds ☁️. Bonus of this race: the weather is perfect ! 🤓 You’ll be running in mid-summer ☀️, at the start of August, on the Trail EDF Val Cenis ! 🏃➡️
To enjoy the summer temperatures, the organizers have everything planned to suit your tastes with 6 distances available. So, what’s your favorite color? 😏 Pink, Yellow, Green, Blue, Red, Black ? 🌈 Like the ski slopes in winter, each course has its own designated color—pick the one that attracts you most! Be careful not to have legs heavier than your thighs 🦵, because you’ll be covering kilometers! 🥵 Whether you choose a short, a long, or an ultra, you’ll be spoiled for choice! 😎 10 km, 15 km, 29 km, 43 km, 58 km and 73 km for more precision 😅. The 10 km can be done with or without poles as a walking session, and even children can find a runnable at their level (😂) with a youth‑friendly finish! 👶 But it won’t be the distances that will make your head spin 😵, it will be the lack of oxygen once you reach 3 000 m altitude! Yes, you read that right, you’ll reach the summits! ⬆️ From 500 to 4 300 mD+, you’ll need to start light so you don’t get bogged down on the climb! 😬
But don’t worry, the landscapes will be well worth the effort! Between the Massif de la Vanoise and the Col du Mont Cenis, you’ll be spoiled! Refuge du Cuchet, Pont du Rafour, Ouillon des Arcellins, Fort de Malamot or Fort de la Turra, you’ll have the Haute Maurienne served on a plateau! 🤩 And speaking of plateau, you’ll enjoy an unobstructed view of the Glaciers of la Vanoise ⛰️ and of the Mont Cenis Lake 🏞️ Brognart and its azure blue 🩵.
