Trail Sainte-Fare

You too, like the fox 🦊, are drawn to the delightful smell mood of this fromage trail? 🏃‍♂️ Follow the mascot closely, and it will lead you to the start line of the Trail Sainte-Fare! 🚩 For its first edition, the event invites you to meet in Faremoutiers, in Seine-et-Marne, in the heart of the magnificent landscapes of the foret of the île-de-France region 🌲. At this late November, it will be the perfect opportunity to enjoy the cool air 🌬️ and push yourself along the sides of the stunning autumn colors 🍂. Throughout the course, the day's mascot will be there to cheer you on! 🎉 The cunning fox ("goupil" from the Middle Ages) plays the lead role in the Roman de Renart, written in the Middle Ages ⚔️. In his adventures, the places frequented by Renart are mostly located in Brie: from the Château de Mauperthuis passing by the Malvoisine Forest forest, not far from the famous abbey of Faremoutiers 🤓. But what does this trail between nature and cultural and historical heritage hold in store for you? 🏰

It’s a 16 km route that will take you through the trails and the small roads of the town! 🛣️ 350 mD+ are announced, so it’s not a lightweight challenge; you’ll need to train! 🏋️ You’ll pass by all the the most touristy spots of the city : a real guided tour at running pace! 😂 You’ll be able to share your experience in the relay format😉. It will thus be an 8 km loop for each of two8 km each, the original route consisting of two 8 km loops… And if you’ve been paying attention in math class: 8 x 2 = 16 ! 📖 Your playground will span the towns of Faremoutiers, Pommeuse and La Celle-sur-Morin 🏘️.

After crossing the finish line 🏁, why not extend the adventure by discovering the region’s treasures? 🗺️ You’ll be able to explore its rich historic heritage with the merovingian crypts of Jouarre, the Commandery of the Templars at Coulommiers or the Notre-Dame Collegiate Church of Crécy-la-Chapelle ⛪. If you’re more into unconventional places, you can head to the Galleria Continua, a contemporary art gallery located in Boissy-le-Châtel or the remarkable Moulin Jaune Garden by Slava the Clown 🌻, in Crécy-la-Chapelle. Are you an art lover? 🎨 Well, you’re in for a jackpot, because you’ll find yourself in the Valley of the Painters, a source of inspiration for many artists 🖌️: a circuit of 16 km (bet you remember that 🤔) around Crécy-la-Chapelle. We know you’re a hungry trail runner 😋, so promise you won’t leave without tasting the Brie de Coulommiers or the Brie de Meaux, renowned worldwide 🌍.
