Triathlon des Roses - Antibes

Sport is awesome 👍. So when it also lets you do a good deed, it’s even better! 🤩

The Roses Triathlon is setting up in Antibes, in the PACA region, in October 🗓️. Already present in several cities such as Lyon, Paris, or Toulouse, this event aims to raise funds to support research into breast cancer, a disease that still takes many lives each year. The challenge is divided into 3️⃣ parts: you’ll start with a grand splash in the sea 🌊 (literally) with 200m in the Mediterranean from the Salis Beach. Once dried, hop on your bike and pedal 🚴‍♀️ 7.5 km toward the Cap d’Antibes. You’re almost there! Only 3 km on foot and you’ll be done! 🏃‍♂️

This race has a few quirks: Only women 👩‍🦰 are eligible to compete individually. For men 👨‍🦲 who want to help the cause, don’t worry! It’s always possible to participate in a relay with 2 or 3 women: unity is strength 🦾 ! There is no registration fee, but participants must raise money 💵 to validate their participation. €150 is required for individual participation and €250 for relay participation: before racing against the clock you’ll have to run after donations 💸 !

Once the race is over, you can rest on the beach ⛱️ and admire the Mediterranean Sea, like the Nomade du port Vauban. If you have any energy left, you can even wander through the Old Town of Antibes: a change of scenery guaranteed! For culture buffs, Le Picasso Museum displays a few works 🖼️ by the painter as well as other artists. The creator of Guernica indeed lived here for a while and produced various works.
