Triathlon des Pyrénées

Are you looking for a new challenge in the beautiful region of Occitanie? 😍 We’ve got something pretty great to offer you: the Pyrenees Triathlon! 👋 It takes place at the end of the month of June, in the small town of Saint-Lary-Soulan 📍, in the heart of the Hautes-Pyrénées ⛰️. At that time, you should be able to run under a gorgeous summer sun, and that’s cool 😎. Plus, the organizers have thought of everyone and will offer a wide range of distances 💪. No more excuses: whether you’re a novice or an experienced athlete, you’ll find something you love on the Pyrenees Triathlon! ✨

The race is organized over two days so participants can start every event in good conditions, without getting in each other’s way 😉. In total, six events will be offered: four triathlons and two duathlons 🙏. For the triathlons 🏊, you’ll be able to choose among XS, S, M or L 🤗. And for the duathlons, you’ll pick between M or L 🤩. As you can see, there’s plenty to do! 🤯 Regarding the swimming portion, brave participants will dive into the magnificent Lac de Payolle 🚣, in the heart of the mountains of the Vallée d'Aure. For cycling, you’ll need to train your legs 🦵, because there are quite a few cols to conquer, notably the Col of the Hourquette d’Ancizan, located at 1,564 meters above sea level! Finally, for running 🏃, you’ll alternate between the town center of Saint-Lary-Soulan and the small mountain roads 🚞. You’ll enjoy spectacular landscapes in a really privileged setting 🥹. So even if you’re sometimes pushing through the tough moments 🥵, don’t forget to open your eyes wide to remember the stunning scenery of this race 👀. By the way, there should be many spectators along the roadside to cheer you on 👯‍♂️. The atmosphere is a major asset of this friendly, family-style race! 🎊

Finally, after the effort, you deserve a bit of relaxation 🫶. For that, you could take a stroll in the regional natural reserve of the Massif du Montious to get a good breath of mountain air 🥶. If you’re up for wilder activities, you can also try paragliding 🪂. You’ll take off from the top of the Pla d'Adet for a breathtaking air voyage over the Hautes-Pyrénées 😶‍🌫️. Finally, to finish, you can sample some local specialties like garbure or apple croustade to refuel and discover the top regional cuisine! 🥗
