Triathlon Sables et CAP

Aaaah, Fréhel, its blonde dunes, its fine sandy beaches 🏖, its crystal-clear sea and water sports! 🏄‍♀️ Here, between Saint-Malo, on the starboard, and Saint-Brieuc, on the port side, a stone’s throw from the famous Cap Fréhel ⚓, we love the sea and everything you can do there: catamaran, windsurfing 🏊‍♀️, wing foil, paddle, kayak, land sailing… 🌊 But also open-water swimming! Triathlon enthusiasts understood it well since they immediately joined the new competition created in 2022 by the association "Ruban Bleu & Co" 🎗: the Triathlon Sables et Cap. With its two distances (a format S and an M format), this sporting event was regarded, from its inception, as one of the five most beautiful triathlons in Brittany ✨. Impressive, right? Onward to the Brittany, captain, and the Côtes-d'Armor! 🚤

The organizing crew of this event is a charitable association “Ruban Bleu & Co”, whose motto is three words: "smile,交流 and sharing" 🫶. Its initials also stand for the disease that is the raison d’être of the association: sclerosis multiple sclerosis. Born from the meeting between Audrey and Bruno during a functional rehabilitation stint at Saint-Brieuc Hospital in 2014, the association set its course to help patients and organize adapted physical activities. The message was clear: nothing will stop us from hoisting the big sail! ⛵

You can imagine this event is different from the rest. It carries a breeze of conviviality 🌬, solidarity and simple happiness that gives you wings! 🕊🤗 Beautifully drawn between land and sea, the swimming, cycling 🚴 and running routes let you enjoy the crystal-clear waters of the Manche (don’t forget your wetsuit, it can be a bit chilly in May! 🥶), coast roads (where drafting is tempting… but beware, it’s forbidden!) and the charming streets of Sables-d’Or-les-Pins 😍. If you imagine sailing calmly like a carefree deckhand, think again: the race captain will drop you onto routes with currents, small waves and headwinds! Don’t worry, no storm on the horizon, only breathtaking views of the sea, the beach, Sables-d’Or-les-Pins and Pléhérél Plage l 😌.

Once back in port 🛟, you can treat yourself to a restorative stop at Sables-d’Or-les-Pins, seaside resort established in the 1920s with villas, hotels, a green theatre and even a casino 🤑. You can, if you wish, sit on a café terrace or set sail to catch the wind along the GR34, a lovely coastal path, or drift along the Entre Deux Mers circuit to the baie de Fresnaye 🚶‍♀️. A billion chances to live a weekend cruise dream!
