Le Turaag Active Dhaka 25K est la plus importante course sur route longue distance du Bangladesh, lancée en 2024. Certifiée par World Athletics et AIMS, cette manifestation offre aux athlètes une distance rare de 25 km qui comble le fossé entre le semi-marathon et le marathon. Le parcours traverse le centre de Dhaka, avec comme point central Hatirjheel, un lac urbain remarquable et un centre de loisirs, offrant aux participants un mélange de paysages urbains modernes et d'environnements historiques. Plus de 2 500 coureurs sont attendus, poursuivant ainsi la dynamique de la première édition qui avait attiré plus de 2 000 participants. Organisée sous le thème « Run to Save Dhaka's Heritage » (Courir pour sauver le patrimoine de Dhaka), cette course met en avant à la fois les performances athlétiques et l'héritage culturel de la ville, tandis que son parcours plat et certifié garantit des conditions de course rapides.
