Pack your bags, we’re taking you on a dream-come-true to South Africa to join the legendary Two Oceans Marathon ! 🇿🇦 Traditionally held in April, this iconic event in the running world enjoys a legendary reputation 🤪. The natural backdrop is simply stunning, tucked between the waves of the ocean on one side and the rugged rocks of the mountains on the other 🌊.

Born in 1970 with only 26 brave pioneers who paid an entry fee of 50 cents (🍬), it has grown into a huge crowd of 30,000 participants 😯. At the time, Dirkie Steyn actually won the event by running barefoot, finishing in 3 h 55 min 50 s! To treat your eyes and legs, the organization serves up a superb menu with 4 events catering to every whim, blending asphalt and wild trails 🌱. If you glow for rugged paths and pristine nature, you can opt for trail formats with a 16 km for a treat without burning out, or the option of 24 km if you crave a shot of pure wilderness in the mountains 🔥. If you’re more of a pavement purist, the on-road half-marathon awaits you with pride, proudly bearing the title of the largest half-marathon in South Africa ! 🏆 Finally, for peloton warriors, it’s the legendary Ultra Marathon of 56 km (yes, that's more than 42.195 🤓) on road that opens its arms to you and invites you into the legend 💪. This wild journey takes you through fishing villages and stunning bays like Kalk Bay, Fish Hoek or Noordhoek 🌞. Then comes the showstopper: the iconic coastal stretch of Chapman’s Peak, one of the world’s most spectacular sea-side roads, before veering toward Hout Bay. Local supporters lining the route cheer so loudly you forget the lactic acid 🏅. No matter the distance chosen, the races finish at the University of Cape Townwith a roaring crowd waiting for you 🥳.

After crossing the finish line with arms raised, there’s no time for a quick shower ✋. Take a breather two steps away at the vibrant V&A Waterfront, for a well-deserved feast facing the fishing boats 🐟. To unwind, breathe in the sea air along the gorgeous Sea Point Promenade 🔎. By sunset, climb to the top of Signal Hill to witness a sunset that lights up the entire horizon, or stroll through the historic Bo-Kaap district, famous for its colorful houses 🪸.
