Festatrail

The Festatrail isn’t like the others. Held every year in May in Saint-Mathieu-De-Trévier, the race has become a must-attend event in the Hérault (Occitanie). Save the weekend of May 25 to 26 📅. Between the expo on Friday and the hikes, strolls, runs, concerts, evenings or even meals planned on Saturday and the Sunday, it will be a true weekend of celebration you'll be part of. 🎊

At this event, there will be something for every taste. In fact, seven options will be on offer. For the short distances, a power-walk or the Cécélienne des Déesses Muettes will be available. For the longer distances, you’ll choose between the Marathon de l’Hortus, the Hérault Trail or the Ultra Draille.

Since you’re here for the festivities, you’re probably after more fun? No problem—you can join the Duo of the Pic Biocoop, the tour of Pic Saint-Loup or the Ultra Draille solo or relay at 5 if you enjoy a challenge, because it climbs! If you prefer the mindset of “after the effort comes the reward we also offer the Trail Gourmand, featuring local product tastings. 🤤

The Trail Pic Saint Loup will be the perfect chance to test your life sciences knowledge from high school… ahhh geology! All courses pass through rocky mountain paths and you’ll trek many cliffs, garrigues and undergrowth. If you’re a bit hungry, don’t stop in the vineyards to pick some bunches 🍇, we’ll be watching. 👀

You’ve surely seen tons of ridges in your friends’ hair from middle school, but the ones you’ll see here are quite different: the Taillade crest and the Hortus. In terms of scenery, the list is long—from the Buèges valleys and the Vis, the Aigoual Massif, the Séranne range, the Ravin des arcs, … It’s a peak, it’s a rock, it’s a cape! It’s truly the Roc de la Vigne and the Pic Saint-Loup that will stand before you. A quick dip to cool off 💦 ? Not right away, but you’ll be able to enjoy the Cécélès Lake during your race. If you’re into history, you’ll love passing near the Château de Viviourès 🏰 and the moulin de Lafous as well as in medieval villages

If you’d rather not just run, you can join the fête des vigneronsor the Gastrono’Pic offered by the organizers. L’Hérault also has more culinary surprises such as the petit pâté de Pézenas or the moules farcies à la Sétoise.
