Ultra Kamieńsk

Ultra Kamieńsk is an event that proves you don't need to travel to the Tatras or the Karkonosze to feel a real mountain challenge. The races take place on the slopes of Góry Kamieńsk – the highest point in central Poland, formed by the discharge from the Bełchatów Coal Mine 🚜. You can usually choose between three distances: 50+, 25+ and 11+ for those who want to feel the burn in their calves on a slightly shorter course 💨. Elevations can surprise even seasoned runners, and the technical climbs under the ski lift as well as the winding trails around the giant wind turbines create a truly lunar landscape ✨.

Once you’ve conquered the last ascent and your legs regain their stability, the surroundings of Góry Kamieńsk (half an hour from Bełchatów and Piotrków) offer an adrenaline rush and relaxation 🏰:

Summer Toboggan Run: It’s right on Góry Kamieńsk! It’s a perfect family-and-couple activity – zooming down the chutes with a view of the mine panorama is a great way to channel energy after the race 🎢.

Żłobnica Viewing Terrace: After the race, it’s worth traveling a few kilometers to see the huge Bełchatów Mine quarry from another angle. The view of the giant excavators, which from this distance look like toys, is unforgettable 🔭.

Wawrzkowizna Leisure and Sports Centre: Located nearby, it offers an equestrian center, a beach and forest trails – a perfect spot for a family picnic and to unwind after an ultra effort 🌲.

Roast goose or duck: The region is famous for its traditional cuisine from old Poland. In local inns, make sure to try a hearty meal of roasted meat – the best reward for your body after burning several thousand calories on the course 🍗!
