In the heart of the Beaufortain valley in Savoie, discover one of the most sensational trail events of the summer: the Ultra Tour du Beaufortain. This 107 km nature race can be run solo or in a relay, starting at 4 a.m. from Queige, and passing through several cols and peaks up to the Col du Grand Fond, offering a 360° view of Mont Blanc before descending towards Queige and the grand finale in town.
Bienvenue dans la vallée du Beaufortain, en Savoie dans la région Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. Les Alpes t'accueillent pour l’un des trails les plus sensationnels de l’année, l’Ultra Tour du Beaufortain. Cette course nature a lieu en juillet, mais pas de faux espoirs : dans les montagnes il peut faire froid même en été ! Si tu aimes les ascensions et l’altitude, tu es au bon endroit ! 🧗
Une seule et unique distance t'attend sur le trail du Beaufortain et ça promet du très très lourd ! Tu vas pouvoir réaliser un ultra-trail de 107 km seul ou en relais afin de découvrir la splendide vue sur le Mont Blanc et ses alentours.
Le départ est prévu à 4 heures du matin à Queige. Tu vas commencer tranquillement par un petit tour du village où tous les spectateurs seront encore là pour t’encourager avant d’avancer vers les montagnes. Tu vas traverser plusieurs cols et sommets par le biais de plusieurs passages techniques et chemins variés 🌲. Tu passeras d’ailleurs juste après le refuge de Presset (mais reste à ton rythme), par le plus haut point de ta course : le col du Grand Fond à 2671 mètres d’altitude, incroyable non ? De là-haut, tu auras la chance d'avoir une vue à 360° sur le Mont Blanc 🏔️ ! Pour finir, ta descente se fera en direction de Queige, où tu adoreras te laisser porter par l'élan de la pente.
Une fois la ligne franchie, la coutume est de crier “je l’ai fait” 😱 ! Tu auras bien mérité ta récup dans la ville qui signifie en latin “lieu de repos” (si ce n'est pas un signe ça !), tu franchiras la ligne là-bas. C'est une récup bien méritée ! 👌
Puis pour casser la croûte, part à la découverte gustative des produits locaux : le beaufort (évidemment), le pormonier ou encore la rioute 😋 ! On sait bien que ça va nécessiter une petite balade digestive alors prend la direction de la belle cité médiévale de Conflans pour flâner seul ou accompagné !
