In the heart of the Scandinavian forests, Ultra X Finland awaits you in the Lahti region, at Salpaussekä. Choose from 4 distances: 59 km, 51 km, 25 km, or the 112 km ultra over two days, with starts on the first day and the following day. The marked courses immerse you in Finnish nature and allow you to target UTMB 20K and 50K points for the next edition.
In the heart of the Scandinavian forests 🌲 awaits you the'Ultra X Finland challenge to push you into an exceptional adventure 🇫🇮. More precisely in Salpausselkä, in the Lahti region. If you’re not local, you probably don’t know it 😝, so to help locate it we can tell you it's a 1-hour drive from Helsinki (Yes, Helsinki the city, not theCasa De Papel 🎭). Ultra X Finland is here to push your limits like never before! Indeed, there are 112 km in store... 🗝️ Oops, that’s a bit quick to talk about.
Now that we’re here, we’ll introduce the different events you’ll be able to participate in. It isn’t 1, isn’t 2, isn’t 3, but 4 distances planned! 🔥 You can choose a race by signing up on the 59 km, the 51 km or the 25 km 🤯. But if you want even more, we’ve got a solution: you can opt for the ultra trail of 112 km to complete over 2 days and in 2 stages 🦸♀️. As you’ve probably guessed, you’ll start with the 59 km on day one and the start of the 51 km the following day 📆. Whatever you choose, the courses are meticulously marked and plunge you into a total immersion in the Finnish wilderness 🌲. The Lahti region is a destination that delights runners every year. Its endless trails, picturesque harbor and unique glacial formations ❄️ are a real visual spectacle (yes, a visual spectacle 👀). Plus, running on the Ultra X Finland you can earn UTMB index points 20K and 50K 🏆 for the next edition of the UTMB in Chamonix! Yes, this race is part of the famous UTMB® global circuit, proving they’re even present in Finland, by the sea, on the shores of shimmering lakes and in the woods! 🤟
And after the effort, the reward...! Don’t miss exploring the stunning Päijät-Häme region. You’ll also be able to visit the town of Porvoo, famous for its colorful wooden houses 🏘️. Within an hour’s drive, dive into the tranquility of the Lac Päijänne, the second largest in Finland. Or why not unwind in a true Finnish sauna? 🧖♀️ And for culture lovers, the Sibelius Museum in Lahti is a must! 🎻
