Welcome to a 4-day adventure in Lapland, starting from Rovaniemi, for the Finland Arctic Wildmarathon. This white trail offers varied distances (10 km, 21 km, and marathon) through taiga, conifer forests, and semi-urban landscapes, with temperatures ranging from -12°C to -7°C. After the race, experience the magic of the Santa Claus Village and Arctic activities such as chasing the Northern Lights, snowmobiling, or a dogsledding ride.
Welcome to The Arctic Finland Wildmarathon ! 🦌 You are about to embark on a 4-day adventure in the heart of the Lapland! 📍 After landing in the town of Rovaniemi, you’ll quickly lace up the Moon Boots ❄️. The local temperature will range between -12 and -7°C 🌡️, so pack your warmest polar layers— they’ll come in handy if you don’t want to end up as a snowman! ☃️ This white trail will be the perfect chance to test yourself over varying distances: 10 km, 21 km or the race’s crown jewel: the marathon 👑. Whether you’re a trail runner beginner or seasoned, Father Christmas awaits all motivated runners on the starting line! 🚩
But why are we talking about the Father Christmas here? 🤔 Even though the race takes place in April, you’ll indeed be meeting the well-known Santa Claus! 🎄 Indeed, he and his elves don’t take holidays! 🧚♂️ The start of this unique race will be given from the Santa Claus Village, located on the Arctic Circle 🥶. You won’t see two starts like this! 🤩 Father Christmas has been generous with this trail, as very little elevation is expected and the trails have been partly snow-cleared by his reindeer 😁. The route will be a true gift 🎁: you’ll run through semi-urban landscapes, combined with conifer forests and breathtaking views of the Taiga. You’ll dive into the Finnish Lapland at its most authentic! 🥰
No need to rush back after the race! 😎 You’ll head out to explore the wonders of the region: chase the northern lights 🌌, a snowmobile Safari 🛷 or a dog sledding stroll 🐕🦺 to discover the arctic landscapes from another angle 🤓. There’s no shortage of sporty activities, but if you’re out of energy after your marathon 🪫 and would rather unwind, you’ll find plenty of warmth in heated pools and numerous spas to pamper yourself! 💆♂️
