Le triathlon du lac Wimbleball est un défi légendaire qui se déroule au cœur de l’Exmoor. Les athlètes peuvent se jeter à l’eau pour une épreuve de natation en eau libre exclusive dans le lac Wimbleball — habituellement interdit aux nageurs —, suivie d’une épreuve cycliste intense sur des routes de campagne tranquilles mais très « bosselées », chaque tour mettant à l’épreuve la puissance en montée et la ténacité des participants (le nombre de tours augmente en fonction de la distance de la course). La course à pied pousse les concurrents à se dépasser encore davantage, en serpentant autour du lac pittoresque et en comportant des côtes exigeantes qui mettront votre endurance à l’épreuve jusqu’à l’arrivée. Se déroulant au Centre d’activités du lac Wimbleball à Dulverton, cet événement est destiné à ceux qui recherchent à la fois la beauté des lieux et une épreuve physique exigeante.
