About this event

In Marseille, Kyma is hosting a 100% seafront and marina event at the start of October. Choose the Fitness Race format and pick between the Kyma Run (8 stations, 8 laps facing the sea, 8 km) or the Kyma Swim (1.6 km of swimming), or Kyma Night as a duo with 500 m laps and a DJ vibe. The event blends a southern vibe, sunshine and team spirit to push the boundaries.

Cycling endurance events are done, ultramarathons are over, road racing is a formality 📝... You’ve conquered every endurance sport and you’re wondering what to latch onto this year? The new event Kyma 100% seawater-facing and marina is going to revolutionize your summer 😎.

So, if you’re a keen observer, you’ll have noticed that the race starts at the beginning of October, not in the peak of the summer season, but this kind of format needs to be planned ahead! Kyma is your Marseille-style challenge, where the environment literally adds its own pinch of salt to your effort 😝. Sun, wind, and an atmosphere bursting with good vibes—that’s exactly what awaits you in the Bouches-du-Rhône to push your limits ✅.

As for the format, you’re about to sign up for a Fitness Race-style event, a new format that blends muscular workshops and endurance sports 🔥. Each event runs its own workshops and centers its endurance portion on the sport of its choice. Here, you can opt for the running or the swimming 🏊. In the first case, it’s the "Kyma Run", where you complete 8 workshops and 8 laps on a sea-facing course 🌊. But don’t be surprised by the vast expanse of water in front of you—this is a highly competitive format and no one will bother pulling you out of your torpor 😂. 8 kilometers of running, you won’t have time to loiter! The second option is the "Kyma Swim", with a total of 1.6 km of swimming, i.e. 200 m per lap 🔁. It’s almost sprinting pace, but be mindful of effort management—the workshops will tire you out too 😅. Finally, if you’re really chasing originality in competition, you can go for the "Kyma Night", a night challenge that will make you feel like Marseille never sleeps 🥳. Plus, a DJ is planned especially for the occasion, so you won’t be able to nod off during the effort 😴. To keep you from waking up at dawn, the "Kyma Night" format also features 500 m loops instead of 1 km 😉.

Another hallmark of Kyma is its competitive format 👯‍♂️. You’ll never be alone in the effort: the race is mandatory in pairs, with your favorite teammate. That way, when you’re struggling, they’ll lift you up and vice versa 💕. Even celebrations have more class this way! The only difficulty left to overcome is figuring out who to invite along 🤝. Your buddy, your girlfriend/boyfriend, your dad, or your best gal pal—make the right choice 👀.

Once the effort is behind you, take your time to enjoy: Marseille, Cassis, La Ciotat, and the numerous calanques nearby hold plenty of surprises 🤩. On site, you can extend the trip with a stroll at the Vieux-Port, Marseille’s mythical place where you’ll find the fish market 🐟 and a whole array of excellent restaurants to fill your belly after a good active walk 🚶‍♀️. Speaking of food, our small recommendations include tuna and the famous squid of the Cité Phocéenne. Once your stomach is nicely stretched, take a detour to the Mucem for a photo spot 📸, or head up to Notre-Dame de la Garde to enjoy the hypercenter from a wide vantage. The famous basilica has watched over the town for more than 800 years and you’ll surely be impressed by the aura it exudes 😳.

This autumn, come work wonders in Marseille, and push yourself to the max (ky) 💥!
