Organized to support local associations of Menthon-Saint-Bernard, this multisport raid isn’t just a simple competition, it’s a festive 🥳 and solidarity 🫶. Bonus: you meet at the heart of the grand landscapes of Lake Annecy and its surroundings ⛰️.
The Menthon Raid is an adventure with meaning, since the event supports two important associations. The first Comité Féminin 74 fights for the major October cause: prevention and screening of the breast cancer 🩷. The second association Soleil Soleil ☀️ provides steadfast support to families of children affected by the disease 💛. This association offers moral and financial help, and you can join by running! 💰 Pushing yourself and doing a good deed, that’s the winning combo, right? 👊
All challenges are doable as a duo. At 9am sharp, you start from Clos Chevalier with your friend (or your mom, your uncle, your boss... doesn’t matter 🤪) for 2.5 km of running to the Menthon beach. There, BAM you dive into the lake for a loop of 450 m 🏊. Once out of the water, back to Clos Chevalier for a Run & Bike of 9.5 km 🚴♂️. The concept is simple, 1 bike for two and a steel-like teamwork if you don’t want to kill each other 😂. The important part is to manage your effort to alternate MTB and running without burning out 🔥. Now for the luxurious fueling: a meal prepared by chef Antoine Gretz 🧑🍳. After this culinary interlude, a hike of 17.8 km and 965 mD+ 👟 awaits you. Indeed! This event spans an entire day 🤪. We hope you’ll still support your duo, because 4 surprise challenges await you during this (long) walk. Similar to Koh-Lanta, these modules will test your dexterity 🐈, your logic 🧩 and your team spirit 👯. If a day of multisport raid, is a bit too much for you, we’ve got you covered! 🎰 The organization offers "La Raidonnette", a festive loop of 3 to 4 km, non-timed, to run or walk 🚶♂️.
After collecting your medal and celebrating with all participants, explore the surroundings 🔎. Stroll through the old town of Annecy and its picturesque canals 🏞️, visit the Château de Menthon-Saint-Bernard 🏰 or go hiking in the Massif des Bauges 🌄. For a more family-friendly moment, head to the Parc des Oiseaux de Villars-les-Dombes 🦜.
